One of the leading causes of preventable blindness in the United States, glaucoma has been called "the sneak thief of sight" because of a lack of any symptoms until the disease is very advanced. Routine eye examinations, including dilation of the pupils, is the only way to detect glaucoma at an early stage. Once diagnosed, specialized care can prevent blindness.

The Glaucoma Center is equipped with a Heidelberg Scanning Laser Retinal Tomographer (HRT) The HRT is a revolutionary computerized laser that creates a detailed 3-dimensional image of the optic nerve to facilitate earlier detection and treatment of glaucoma.
All of our offices are equipped with the specialized equipment needed to provide patients with the highest level of care for glaucoma. Our in office lasers allow us to treat many cases of glaucoma outside of a hospital.
