Dr. Milite is a Summa cum Laude graduate of Fordham College, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. He received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine and served as chief resident in General Ophthalmology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and completed two fellowships both in Ophthalmology Pathology and Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the same institution.
A board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Milite is a fellow in The American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Milite is an attending physician at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and Beth Israel Medical Center in New York and is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at the New York Medical College. He is an active member of the Ocular Trauma Service at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary. Dr. Milite actively participates in the training residents and fellows in his specialty. He is serves on the medical advisory board for the New York Eye Bank and has traveled internationally with the Volunteer Health Program to provide surgical care to underserved populations in the third world. He has lectured extensively and authored numerous articles and book chapters in his specialty. Dr. Milite was selected as one of New York's top eye surgeons in the prestigious Castle Connolly Guide.
